Ain’t Nuthin’ But a She Thing is a Series of 10 minute films featuring “Inspirational Women” (as part of MTV’s Inspirational Women series) who had received Nobel Peace Prizes or other major awards of recognition.  Holly Fisher received Director and Editor Credits for five pieces, three of which are featured here, including:  Aung San Suu Kyi, Betty Williams, and Beatrice Wood.  It was while working on the Aung San Suu Kyi piece that Fisher became interested in Burma, and went on to make two long-form essays concerning Burma — Kalama Sutta: Seeing is Believing; and Deafening Silence.  (This was Fisher’s first time working with Avid in Digital Video – and a radical change from years of film editing on a flatbed Steenbeck!)
