…evidence indeed that “everything is cinema”.  At least in the right hands!

It’s very intricate and interwoven and full of good things and quite perfect, if you want my humble opinion.

synopsis

With infinite deep blue sky, enormous clouds and transcendent light, I began shooting from the airplane window on my flight from Berlin; discovering GPS Coordinates tagging my images, I couldn’t resist filming my way home to NY. With on-going intrigue for paradox and double-speak, my sky footage became inspiration and ground for Out of the Blue — as a living diary centered in perception and memory, with a special focus in allusive play with words as image. Uncanny music Words Fail Me by composer Lois V Vierk, inspired by her witness of 9/11, kindles thoughts of other planes, of another time…

press/reflections

At long last, the proper clearing of space emerges for me to view OUT OF THE BLUE…and Wow!  I find this a major work of yours, and evidence indeed that “everything is cinema”.  At least in the right hands!  The drifting between the abstract and the concrete, the word and the image, music and silence, the grand events/tragedies of history and the quotidian, the sense that traveling brings of being ‘in between”.  Congratulations on bringing such a free work to fruition, even if we are definitely not ‘out of the blues’ yet…
